I discovered a nifty way to create a “K2 Page” of users, user-groups and user-blogs when building a Joomla! web site and using the popular K2 extension. It’s time to share it!

Joomla! has a powerful, but underused, ability to show a “module” inside an article known as “loadposition”. This is one of my favorite tricks / techniques to use with Joomla! sites.
Most of us who design and manage sites using WordPress make heavy use of “short codes” as a quick and easy way to add image galleries, videos, and other media.
Did you know you can use Shortcodes in your WordPress page templates and theme as well? It’s just a matter of tapping into the powerful WordPress short code API.
While building Weever we came across an incredible project called The MobileESP Project, by Anthony Hand. The project provided an easy to use code library which we used to build a quick and easy device-detection plugin for Joomla. We’re surprised no one has released a version of this for Joomla yet, and are excited to be the first to publicly release a plugin featuring it.
